In the demo, the checked in item is on Hold for someone at the owning library.  At the end of the video, the status shows as available because the Hold was deleted.

Please note that

  • these "Returning" items do not show up in the Holds/ILL lists
  • to be checked in at another library, items actually have to have a "checked out" status at the owning library

Students can now place Holds for Titles in the Simplified Interface in Destiny Discover for local and ILL titles with the right parameters set in Back Office.
Two areas must be addressed in Back Office to accomplish this: Library Policies & Access Levels.
In Library Policies/ Patron Types make sure the Max number of Holds reflects at least 1 or the Student will not see the option to place a Hold.

Max Checkouts 3 Max Holds 5
In Access Levels settings for Patron/PatronsTab/Self-Empowered Patron Access, for  example, these additional parameters must be addressed.
To place Holds for ILL in any interface under the Access Levels settings for Patron/Library Materials/Library Catalog Search Access, Search all library sites through Destiny Discover must be checked.
