Follett's new Destiny Read app for iOS devices is now available in the App Store. Read more about this app on the Follett site.
In order to open and check out Follett eBooks, a student or teacher must log in with their own Destiny login username and password. If a student or teacher does not have a Destiny login username and password, they can enter the Shared Access username and password for their library site when prompted to log in when opening a Follett eBook. If the IP address for your school has been entered into the FollettShelf setup (see the Add IP Address tab on this page for instructions on doing this), students and teachers will automatically get the Shared Access login, and will be able to Open a Follett eBook. Using the Shared Access username and password does not allow for checking out or downloading a Follett eBook.
How can I find out/change the Shared Access Username and Password?

How do I add Follett eBooks from the RILINK district FollettShelf (BookLynx) to my library's FollettShelf and Destiny catalog?
(Click here to find out how to delete any OverDrive titles in your catalog if your library is not a RISOCKS member.)
If you have OverDrive titles added by mistake, add a Resource List in Destiny Classic called OverDrive. Then do a Catalog search limited to eBooks in the drop-down list for Material Type, and add overdrive to the Search box. Then click on [Keyword]. When the results come back, click on List All if there is more than one page. Make sure that the OverDrive list you created is displayed, and then click on [AddPage]. Then go to Export Titles in the left-hand column of the Catalog tab. This is critical: Make sure that you choose to to Select from a list, and choose your OverDrive list so that you are only exporting and deleting these titles. Then click on [Delete titles/copies after export] and then [Export]. If you are unsure of this process, please contact Dorothy Frechette.
You may need to refresh/reload the page to see the current set of instructions. After you have added the titles that you want, you should force an immediate synchronization, by clicking on Update on the Destiny Digital Setup page which appears after you Close the eBook shelf. Doing this will produce a report in the Job Manager in your site’s Back Office that will let you know when the new titles have been added to your catalog.

Follett has added a new category of eBooks called , which includes 145 science and social studies titles at the elementary school level, many of which are also suitable for use with middle school students. Lightbox incorporates videos, Google Maps, worksheets, audio, quizzes, Vocabulary.com, and other key sites. Lightbox purchase pricing starts at $40 for each title for multi-user access. Unfortunately, we cannot buy these multi-user titles for our shared BookLynx collection, but there are currently fourteen titles available on the East Bay Educational Collaborative and RILINK Interlibrary Loan site. The easiest way to find them is to click on Universal Search in the left-hand column on the Catalog tab. They will be featured in the top ribbon in Universal Search. If you want to try them out, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org for the demo username and password.
