A personalized learning approach can address the distinct learning needs, interests, aspirations, and/or cultural backgrounds of individual students. This session will explore how setting student goals can lead to personalized learning in the classroom, and increased student effort and resiliency.
Joe Pirraglia is a teacher, administrator, and writer from Rhode Island. He currently is principal of DL Beckwith Middle School in Rehoboth, Massachusetts. Joe believes that engaging instruction and fostering a creative environment are paramount for developing life-long learners.
When not in the classroom, Joe writes children's books with a Math focus.
