This session supports the mission of student engagement and providing educators with the strategies and tools to engage learners and improve student achievement.

Tracey Whitehead is the principal of Nayatt School in Barrington, RI and the current president elect of RIASCD. Nayatt School has seen statistically significant growth in their Math PARCC scores. 85% of the students in Grade 3 are proficient in Math, up from 77% the previous year. The scores are the highest of all third graders in the country and beyond taking the PARCC Assessment. One component of the school's success is the emphasis on the growth mindset in math. Join this session and interact with resources, research, and tools to support high quality instruction in math.
