Transforming Your Teaching: Tips and Tricks to a Blended and Personalized Learning Classroom

This session will provide an overview of how Mary Ann transformed her classroom from traditional learning to a more personalized approach. She will share many of the tips and tricks she learned along the way and what she still struggles with. The majority of the session will be a working time for teachers to explore apps and programs to help them move their teaching forward. Programs such as Symbaloo, Doink, See Saw, Show Me, Edicte, Edpuzzle, and Google Classroom will be explored.

Mary Ann Mello has been a second grade teacher at Hope Valley Elementary School for the past 6 years. Prior to being in second grade she was a resource teacher for 10 years. Mary Ann has embraced technology and personalized learning and has received her district's "Risk Taker Dream Maker" award.

Mary Ann is a model educator in her district providing support to teachers interested in blended learning. She was nominated for the Digital Champion Award and is currently a FUSE Fellow with the Highlander District.
