Diane Lebrun is a middle school library media specialist in Burrillville. She has worked on numerous state committees during her career, being selected as Burrillville’s Teacher of the Year twice. She is a NBCT and loves working at all grade levels. Serving on RIMSBA gives her the opportunity to match books to readers and challenges her to stay excited about the profession.

Mimi Silk has taught 7th grade Humanities at Paul Cuffee Middle School in Providence, RI, for 8 years. She noticed a reading boom in her students when she shifted the focus of her class to independent reading. She has grown her classroom library exponentially with help from a Book Love Foundation grant and local used bookstores. She is the Chair of the Rhode Island Middle School Book Award Committee for the 21-22 school year.
