Summer Reading 2023: Find Your Voice

This summer Rhode Island will be adopting the  2023 iREAD Summer Reading Program "Find Your Voice."

iREAD, developed and administered by the Illinois Library Association, offers a summer reading theme, slogan, manual, and graphics program created and curated by public librarians. iREAD offers materials for children's, teen, and adult programs and employs four different artists to convey the theme each year. The artwork typically features well known characters from beloved illustrators of picture books and graphic novels. The slogan always includes "library," "read," or "reading" and themes lend themselves to a variety of interpretations and types of programming. iREAD artwork is made available to Beanstack and is used in Beanstack SRP templates.

OLIS will provide public libraries access to the 2023 online manual and will also provide posters and bookmarks for promotional purposes. iREAD offers a catalog of additional materials that libraries may purchase at their own cost.

RI will be joining Alaska, California, Connecticut, Illinois,Iowa, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Oregon, Rhode and Washington as statewide iREAD partners, as well as all worldwide military base libraries and many individual libraries nationwide. For more information about iREAD visit https://www.ireadprogram.org/ or contact Danielle Margarida.

Curious about Beanstack?

Beanstack by Zoobean is a web and mobile app that helps public libraries create, manage, and measure reading challenges for youth and adults. All RI public libraries have a Beanstack site through a statewide subscription coordinated by  AskRI and the RI Office of Library and Information Services.
