RILINK Staff set as its first task the revision of the existing RILINK Mission Statement. This task became Objective 1.1 in Goal 1: Revise RILINK’s Organizational Structure. As this process unfolded, the need for a Vision Statement became apparent as well.
By reviewing the Vision and Mission Statements of other library and educational organizations, soliciting RILINK members for feedback, and discussing options with the Advisory Committee, we finalized Statements that reflect both the purpose and the direction of the organization and that serve as the driving force in all decision-making for the strategic planning process.
Each student has the resources needed to achieve success in education and become a lifelong learner.
RILINK supports school libraries, library media specialists, teachers, staff, and students with shared resources and training in partnership with the entire educational community.
